My version of the classic cake. Ingredients:
use chocolate crust-see crust page. |
2 pounds philly cream cheese, softened |
1 1/2 cup sugar |
4 tbsp flour |
4 large eggs |
4 tbsp cocoa powder, unsweetened |
2 tea vanilla extract |
1 tea white vinegar |
1/2 cup buttermilk |
1/2 cup heavy cream |
2 ounces red food coloring |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450^. 2. Blend cream cheese, sugar, and flout until smooth. 3. Add eggs one at a time. 4. Add cocoa powder, vanilla, and vinegar. 5. Add buttermilk and cream. 6. Add red coloring, mixing thoroughly. No streaks. 7. Pour into prepared pan. 8. Bake at 450^ for 15 minutes. 9. Reduce to 250^ and continue baking for 1 hour. 10. Let cool and refrigerate before serving. |
