This is a variation on a more traditional chai tea since it uses rooibos instead. Please note th forces me to use the term rooibos tea bags , which sounds a bit awkward, but I used loose-leaf rooibos. Ingredients:
1 2/3 cups water |
1 1/3 cups milk |
1 tablespoon rooibos tea bag |
1/4 teaspoon cardamom |
1 1/2 teaspoons dried ginger |
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon baking chips |
1 teaspoon vanilla bean (cut into little pieces) |
3 tablespoons sugar |
Directions:
1. Put water and spices (except for the rooibos tea) into a small pot. 2. Add water and cook on medium for 6 minutes, then add rooibos tea. 3. Place lid on pot and cook for 6 minutes. 4. Add in milk and stir, then turn off the stove burner. 5. Add sugar and stir until completely dissolved. 6. Strain spices out and enjoy! |
