This recipe was created to accompany Fried Grits with Red Pepper Sauce Ingredients:
2 large red bell peppers, quartered |
1/2 cup water |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger |
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce |
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar |
Directions:
1. Combine first 5 ingredients in heavy medium saucepan. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until peppers are very soft, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes. Cool 15 minutes. 2. Drain bell pepper mixture. Puree in processor. Blend on vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. |
