I like to make my batter in the morning and have it very cold when you pour it into the pans. Try substituting parmesan cheeseor other herbs. I like this as a special treat and this is as low cal as a popover can be Ingredients:
vegetable oil cooking spray, for popover pans |
1 cup flour |
1 cup skim milk |
1 egg |
2 egg whites |
1 tablespoon butter |
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes |
salt, to tast |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 425F, spray with veggie oil (Iuse lite o;ive oil) 6 popover pans (Large muffin pans will do) Combine all the ingredients in a blender or food processor, blend until smooth Preheat the popover pans in the middle of the oven for 3 minutes. 2. Divide the batter and place in the center of the oven for 30-35 minutes or untill puffy and golden. |
