Red Onion and Poppy Seed Salad Dressing |

I got this from a lady at church who served it for lunch. At least four of us mobbed her the minute we tasted it (luckily she'd brought copies). It's almost like a cross between vidalia onion dressing and regular poppy seed dressing. It's sweet, creamy, and tangy all in one! This recipe yields enough to fill a small-ish mason jar. Cook time is chill time. Ingredients:
1 medium red onion |
1 cup sugar |
3/4 cup apple cider vinegar |
2 tablespoons french's yellow mustard |
2 teaspoons salt |
2 tablespoons poppy seeds |
2 cups canola oil |
Directions:
1. Cut and place all ingredients in blender. 2. Puree. 3. Chill overnight. 4. Stores well in fridge for one week. |
