My version of Red Lobster's cheddar biscuits! I love these and serve them with many meals at home. Simply mix, bake, and enjoy your ride to Cheddar Bay...! Wherever that may be.... Ingredients:
biscuits |
1 1/2 cups bisquick baking mix |
3/4 cups cold whole milk |
4 tablespoons cold butter (1/2 stick) |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 heaping cup of grated cheddar cheese |
brush on top |
2 tablespoons butter, melted |
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
pinch of salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Combine Bisquick with cold butter in medium bowl with large fork - not TOO thoroughly. There should be small chunks (pea-sized) of butter in the mix. 3. Add cheese, milk, 1/4 teaspoon of the garlic, to the mix. 4. Mix together by hand. 5. Drop by ice cream scoop onto ungreased cookie sheet. 6. Bake 15-17 minutes or until biscuit tops are golden brown. 7. Prep the butter topping mix by melting the butter in microwave for a few seconds. 8. Add parsley, garlic powder and salt the topping mix. 9. Brush over biscuits with a pastry brush until all the butter is used. 10. Makes approx. 9-12 biscuits, depending on scoop size. |
