Now you need something to make with the Dry Baking Mix don't you? It too originally came from this 25 page cookbook back in 1981 when I still smoked. Buy two packs of cigarettes and get a cook book. That being said it has some fantastic recipes in it. Read more . They come from the Chuckwagon Cooking from Marlboro Country. I have tried them all and can say that they are very good. They are from old chuckwagon cooks (well that is how Philip Morris billed it and you know that a big tobacco company would not lie to you.) Ingredients:
1 recipe dry baking mix |
1 tbs chili powder |
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
1 1/2 cups sourdough starter |
Directions:
1. Stir together Dry Baking Mix, chili powder and cheese 2. Add Sourdough Starter and mix until flour is moistened 3. Place mixtrue on floured surface, kneed lightly and pat to 1/2 inch thick. 4. Cut with a 2 1/2 inch cutter, 5. Put biscuits into a greased pan and bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. 6. Makes 1 dozen |
