I am posting this recipe to go along with Beer and Brats. However, this is also a nice side dish. Hope you enjoy. Ingredients:
1 head red cabbage, sliced for kraut |
2 tablespoons oil |
1/2 cup red wine vinegar |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon mustard seeds |
4 garlic cloves, chopped and crushed |
1/4 cup water |
1/2 cup honey |
1/4 cup cider vinegar |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Put oil in skillet. Add cabbage, red wine vinegar, sugar, mustard seeds, salt and pepper, garlic and water and allow to simmer until cabbage wilts. 2. Add honey and cider vinegar. Cook until syrupy. 3. Serve over brats. |
