5 cups thinly sliced red cabbage |
2 1/2 cups diced peeled granny smith apple (about 3/4 pound) |
1 cup diced onion |
3/4 cup apple juice |
1/2 cup maple syrup |
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon black pepper |
Directions:
1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the cabbage, apple, and onion; sauté 3 minutes. Stir in apple juice and remaining ingredients. Cover, reduce heat to medium, and cook 35 minutes, stirring occasionally. |
