Ingredients:
1 medium-size red cabbage, shredded |
2 tablespoons butter or margarine |
2 medium-size baking apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced |
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion |
1/4 cup dry red wine |
3 tablespoons lemon juice |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
Directions:
1. Sauté cabbage in butter in a large Dutch oven 10 minutes. Add apples, onion, wine, lemon juice, and salt; stir well. Cover and cook over low heat 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve mixture warm. |
