In Turkey, we serve it with toasted bread pieces. Hope you'll enjoy! I use everything listed below but some prefer it without optional ingredients. Ingredients:
2 large red bell peppers, roasted and cut into chunks |
3/4 cup walnuts |
4 -5 tablespoons breadcrumbs |
2 -3 tablespoons olive oil |
1 teaspoon cumin |
1 lemon, juice of |
black pepper (to taste) |
2/3 cup feta cheese, crumbled (optional) |
2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed (optional) |
1 tablespoon tomato puree (optional) |
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients except olive oil and walnuts in a blender. Blend until smooth. 2. Slowly add olive oil and walnuts, continue blending. 3. Make sure not to over-mix, the walnuts should still be left in small pieces. |
