This recipe comes from the McCain Estate in Garland, Texas. I have not made it, but it is marked as a family favorite and since I LOVE beets I intend to make it very soon. Enjoy Ingredients:
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup pineapple tidbits undrained |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
2 cups sliced red beets drained |
Directions:
1. Combine brown sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan. 2. Add pineapple stirring constantly until thick and bubbly. 3. Add butter, lemon juice and beets then heat thoroughly for 5 minutes. |
