1 cooking spray |
14 oz lean, smoked turkey sausage, sliced |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 medium green pepper, chopped |
1 garlic clove, minced |
32 ounces canned red kidney beans,undrained |
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper |
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce |
2 cup water |
1 cup uncooked brown rice |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan coated with cooking spray, sauté sausage for 5 minutes over medium-high heat. Add onion and green pepper and sauté another 5 minutes. Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds. 2. Stir in beans, pepper, cayenne pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and water over medium-high heat. 3. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 25 minutes. 4. Add brown rice, cover, and simmer another 35 minutes. |
