Bayou country favorite! Ingredients:
2 cups red beans |
1 onion, diced |
2 cloves garlic |
2 teaspoons seasoning salt |
bay leaf |
1 pinch sugar |
red pepper |
smoked sausage, sliced |
cooked rice |
Directions:
1. Wash beans, soak overnight and drain. 2. Cover beans and all ingredients with cold water. 3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until done. 4. Serve over rice. 5. (When I'm in a hurry I use 3 cans of dark red beans). |
