Rebecca's Oatmeal Honey Wheat Bread |

After many failed attempts to create a healthy all purpose sandwich like bread for my family, this is what I came up with. This makes a 2lb loaf in my Zojirushi bread machine. Ingredients:
1 2/3 cups water |
1 cup rolled oats (not quick) |
2 cups white whole wheat flour (king arthur brand) |
1 3/4 cups white bread flour (king arthur brand) |
1/4 cup wheat germ |
3 tablespoons honey |
2 tablespoons unsalted butter |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
4 teaspoons gluten |
2 1/4 teaspoons bread machine yeast |
Directions:
1. Place ingredients in the above order (or in the the order your bread machine manufacturer recommends). 2. I run my machine on Basic , Light Crust . |
