Found this in Ladies Home Journal. It's a good side dish with barbecues. Ingredients:
5 slices cooked bacon, drained |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 lb extra lean ground beef |
1 (28 ounce) can pork and beans |
1 (16 ounce) can stewed tomatoes |
1/4 cup barbecue sauce |
3 tablespoons brown sugar, packed |
2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard |
1 teaspoon red pepper sauce |
Directions:
1. Brown onion in same skillet used to cook bacon, over medium-high heat about 5 to 6 minutes. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain off excess grease. 2. Add rest of ingredients except bacon. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 15 to 20 minutes until it tastes real gooooooood! 3. Crumble bacon over the top before serving. |
