A change to the traditional strawberry shortcake. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour |
7 tablespoons butter |
1/3 cup sugar |
1 egg yolk |
1 tablespoon water |
2 1/2 cups whipping cream |
1 1/3 cups raspberries |
Directions:
1. Cut the butter into sifted flour. 2. Stir in sugar, egg yolk and water. 3. Divide in 1/2 and roll in 8 inches wide. 4. Put on cookie sheet and crimp edges. 5. Make at 375 degrees for 15 minutes and let cool. 6. Mix cream and raspberrie together. 7. Spread in middle of shortcakes. |
