an great tasting dessert who could resist chocolate and raspberries in a wonton yummy..................... courtesy sandra lee- semi-homeade 3 Ingredients:
3/4- 1 bar of hersheys milk chocolate candy bar( 5-6 ounces) |
1-egg |
1 1/2- teaspoons water |
12 - wonton wrappers |
1/4-1/2- cup red raspberry preserves ( smuckers) or any brand |
powdered sugar for dusting |
fresh raspberries for serving |
fresh mint springs for serving |
vegetable oil for frying |
Directions:
1. heat oil 2 inches deep in a medium saucepan to 350 degrees f.( oil is ready when a drop of water added sizzles ) 2. cut chocolate bar into scored rectangles, then cut each in half 3. in a small bowl, lightly beat egg with water to make a egg wash 4. lay out wonton wrappers on a falt surface 5. use a pastry brush to brush egg wash around perimeter of each wontonwrapper 6. place approx 1 teaspoon of raspberry preserves in the center of each prepared wonton wrapper 7. top with chocolate bar piece 8. fold wonton wrapper in half to make a triangle 9. press to seal 10. repeat with remaining wonton wrappers, preserves , and chocolate pieces.................... 11. carefully slide 4 wontons at a time into the hot oil and fry 1 minute per side 12. remove and drain on paper towels 13. serve warm dust ed with powdered sugar over wontons and serve a dollop of fresh raspberries and a sprig of mint................... 14. serves 4 |
