Raspberry Almond Rugelach |

Very easy and delicious take on an old favourite. Ingredients:
1/2 cup raspberry jam |
2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed |
1 cup sliced almonds |
1 egg, beaten with |
1 tablespoon milk |
Directions:
1. Spread jam evenly over pastry. 2. Sprinkle with almonds. 3. Roll up like a swiss roll. 4. Cut each roll into 8 equal portions. 5. Place each on a greased paper-lined baking tray 5cm apart. 6. Brush with egg/milk mixture. 7. Bake in 180 Degrees C oven for 25 - 30 minutes. 8. Other variations instead of jam:. 9. 1/2 cup chocolate spread (nutella) sprinkle with grated chcolate and chopped nuts. |
