Raspberries Jubilee Sundaes |

From Bon Appetit, September 1995. This sounds simple and wonderful. Ingredients:
12 ounces frozen raspberries, thawed |
1/2 cup sugar |
3 tablespoons grand marnier |
3 tablespoons cognac |
1 1/2 pints vanilla ice cream |
whipped cream |
cookie |
Directions:
1. Stir raspberries with their juices and sugar in heavy medium saucepan over medium-low heat until sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes. 2. Mix in Grand Marnier and Cognac; remove from heat. 3. Scoop ice cream into stemmed glasses. 4. Spoon sauce over. 5. Garnish with whipped cream and serve with cookies. |
