A cheesy beer fondue in a hollowed out loaf! Delicious! Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups cheddar cheese - grated |
1/4 cup sour cream |
1 to 2 cloves garlic - chopped |
2 tsp. worcestershire sauce |
1 tsp. dry mustard |
dash cayenne pepper |
1/2 to 3/4 cup beer |
round loaf of rye, sourdough or pumpernickel bread |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients except bread. Set aside. Slice top off loaf (best done when slightly frozen). Using a sharp knife, slice around rim leaving 1/2 sides. Pull out bread and cut into 1 “ cubes. Put in plastic bag until ready to serve. Fill bread with cheese mixture, wrap with foil and bake at 400 F. For 15 minutes or until bubbly. Place on a platter and serve with bread cubes around loaf. |
