Choose your favorite fruits...apples,grapes,guavas,banana,pomegranate seeds,melon,peaches,papaya etc.Chaat masala is a mixture of spices which you can get from Pakistani/indian markets(we use homemade). Ingredients:
3/4 cup mixed fruit |
1/4 cup boiled chickpeas |
3-4 dates,pitted |
1/4 tsp chaat masala |
sugar,to taste |
variations |
1)...1-2 tbsp apricot sauce |
2)... orange juice |
3)... 1/4 cup yogurt,whisked |
Directions:
1. Cut fruits in same sized pieces.Cut dates lengthwise in thin slices. 2. Combine fruits,chickpeas and dates in a large bowl. 3. Sprinkle sugar and chaat masala over fruit mixture.Mix well. 4. Add apricot sauce or orange juice or yogurt in the bowl.Mix well. 5. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.Serve at room temperature. 6. Apricot sauce: 7. Combine 1/4 cup of each apricots,sugar and water in a small pan.Cook on medium heat for 5-10 minutes until sugar is dissolved and apricots are soft.Blend in blender to a smooth paste.Let cool,then use. |
