Raisin Sauce for Ham or Chicken |

Nice sweet sauce, I serve it with ham and eggs. Ingredients:
1/2 cup raisins |
1 1/4 cups water |
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons vinegar |
1 tablespoon butter |
Directions:
1. Combine raisins and water and simmer for 5 minutes; set aside. 2. Blend together brown sugar, cornstarch and salt; stir into raisin mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until clear and slightly thickened. Mix in vinegar and butter; stir until butter melts. |
