My mother-in laws recipe. Easy to make and always enjoyed after lunch with a cup of tea. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1 cup sugar |
3/4 cup butter |
1 cup sour milk |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon clove |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 egg |
1 cup raisins |
1 cup currants |
Directions:
1. Mix first 3 ingredients - rub into crumbs. 2. Save 1 cup crumbs for top. 3. Mix remaining crumbs with rest of ingredients. 4. Place in pan and sprinkle 1 cup of crumbs on top. 5. Bake for 40 min at 350. |
