This is an incredible bread recipe bursting with raisin flavor. Enjoy Ingredients:
4 cups sifted all purpose flour |
1-1/4 teaspoon salt |
1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda |
3/4 cup dark brown sugar |
1-1/4 cups raisins placed in water and boiled for 5 minutes and drained |
2 tablespoons margarine |
2 eggs slightly beaten |
1-1/2 cups buttermilk |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, salt, baking soda, sugar and raisins by hand. 2. Add margarine, eggs and buttermilk then mix by hand only until ingredients are moist. 3. Spoon into two greased bread loaf pans then bake at 350 for 45 minutes. |
