This is a decadent and very tasty and creamy dessert sure to please all the dessert lovers in your area. Decadent. Hope you enjoy as much as we do. Ingredients:
2 slices dry few days old white bread cut into small pieces |
1/4 cup raisins |
3 large eggs |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
2 cups milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Lightly grease six custard cups or ramekins. 3. Divide bread among the 6 cups and sprinkle with raisins. 4. Beat eggs slightly with a whisk or fork. 5. Add sugar, cinnamon, milk and vanilla extract and stir until blended. 6. Ladle over bread in cups then place filled cups in baking pan. 7. Add hot water to pan to come 1/2 up sides of cups. 8. Bake 40 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean. 9. Remove custards from water bath and place on rack to cool. 10. Serve warm or chilled. |
