I made this in my younger days, and thought I would share it out here. It is a really good cold soup to serve for Halloween or any of our up coming cool holidays! Ingredients:
2 cups apple juice or cider |
2 large cooking apples peeled and cubed |
1/4 cup dark raisins |
2 cinnamon sticks |
1 tbsp brown sugar |
1 tbsp brandy |
Directions:
1. In 2-quart saucepan combine first 4 ingredients. 2. Cover, simmer 15 minutes or till apples are tender. 3. Stir in sugar and brandy. 4. Cover; chill. 5. Remove stick cinnamon before serving. 6. Makes 3 to 4 servin |
