Rachael's Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies

This recipe is slightly modified, it originally used soy flour. But I used oat flour instead, which is what makes these cookies so yummy.
Ingredients:
1 cup butter (or 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup shortening)
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 tablespoons hot water
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups wheat flour
1 cup oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 (8 ounce) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Cream the butter and sugar. Mix in the eggs, vanilla, hot water, salt, and baking soda. In a blender or food processer, finely chop oats until it becomes a powder. Mix into batter along with all- purpose flour and wheat flour. Mix in bag of chocolate chips with a spoon.
2. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
3. Variation: Use any chips, such as peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips, white chocolate chips or cinnamon chips.
