I got this recipe from someone on here in recipe forum and wanted an analysis. I've only just bought some quinoa for the first time. Thanks Clairelaine! Haven't tried it yet, but will tomorrow. Sounds great. Ingredients:
1 clove minced garlic |
1 onion, chopped |
1/2 cup celery, chopped |
1 green bell pepper, chopped |
1 tablespoons olive oil |
1 cup dry quinoa |
2 cups stock, any kind you like |
3 tablespoons sunflower seeds, hulled |
Directions:
1. Warm the olive oil in large pan. 2. Add chopped vegetables and minced garlic. 3. Saute over medium heat until the vegetables are soft. 4. Add dry quinoa, and stir for a minute or two. 5. Pour in stock and cook until stock is absorbed. 6. Stir in the sunflower seeds before serving. |
