Quinney's sour chicken

We got this recipe from my father-in-law,Quinney Young,who got it from some newspaper years and years ago. My kids absolutely love it! I usually double it. Cook time includes the overnight marinating time. Gives your chicken a sour,sort of indescribable great taste!Makes chicken barbecue without the usual red sauce!
Ingredients:
3 -4 lbs chicken, cut into 8 pieces
1 cup canola oil
1 egg
2 cups cider vinegar
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
Directions:
1. Parboil chicken.
2. Combine oil and egg, Whisk thoroughly.
3. Add remaining ingredients,whisk well.
4. Drain chicken, place in non-reactive container.
5. Pour marinade over hot chicken and cover.
6. Refrigerate overnite.
7. Grill,Charcoal preferred, but gas will do.
8. Enjoy.
