Something quick to whip up on Sunday morning. Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
2 tablespoons sugar |
8 eggs (separated) |
4 cups milk |
4 cups flour |
8 teaspoons baking powder |
Directions:
1. Beat the egg whites until they are stiff. 2. Melt the butter; stir in the sugar and egg yolks. Beat well. Beat in milk and flour; fold in egg whites and baking powder. 3. Bake in a greased waffle iron. Store leftover waffles, wrapped in plastic wrap or foil, in refrigerator. Reheat in toaster or in frying pan. |
