Quick Trick for Bakers (Cake) |

Remember Hershey's syrup in a can? I found it in the ice cream toppings at my local grocery store. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine |
1 cup sugar |
4 eggs |
1 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour |
3/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1 (1 lb) can chocolate flavored syrup |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
3/4 cup chopped nuts |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. 2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. 3. Sift flour and soda together. 4. Add alternately with the chocolate syrup to the creamed mixture. 5. Add vanilla, beat well. 6. Pour into a greased and floured 13x9x2 inch cake pan. 7. Sprinkle top with chopped nuts. 8. Bake in a 350 F oven for 40-45 minutes or until done. |
