Remember Hershey's syrup in a can? I found it in the ice cream toppings at my local grocery store.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 (1 lb) can chocolate flavored syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
3. Sift flour and soda together.
4. Add alternately with the chocolate syrup to the creamed mixture.
5. Add vanilla, beat well.
6. Pour into a greased and floured 13x9x2 inch cake pan.
7. Sprinkle top with chopped nuts.
8. Bake in a 350 F oven for 40-45 minutes or until done.
