Delicious and nutricious Ingredients:
1 (28 ounce) can italian tomatoes |
2 (10 ounce) cans salt-free chicken broth, defatted |
1/2 cup pearl barley |
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil |
1/2 teaspoon celery seed |
1 dash allspice |
Directions:
1. Puree tomatoes in food processor. 2. Pour into saucepan and add remaining ingredients. 3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes or until barley is soft. |
