This is a quick and easy recipe. Ingredients:
1 small onion (chopped) |
2 tablespoons bacon grease or 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons oil |
1 1/3 cups instant rice |
1 (15 ounce) can pasta sauce with mushrooms (or plain) |
1/4 cup water |
1/4 teaspoon chili powder |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
salt |
Directions:
1. Sauté the onion in the grease, butter or oil. 2. Stir in all the rest of the ingredients. 3. Heat to a boil. 4. Turn heat down to very low. 5. Simmer until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, approximately 8 to 10 minutes. |
