Great with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches Ingredients:
5 pounds roma tomatoes |
56 ounce plum tomatoes (recommended: san marzano) |
1 tablespoon basil leaves |
1/8 cup jalapenos |
2 red onions, quartered |
1 tablespoon garlic |
1 tablespoon parsley |
1 tablespoon thyme |
1/8 cup extra-virgin olive oil |
1 pepper |
1/2 cup milk |
Directions:
1. In a big roasting pan combine everything, coat well with olive oil and roast in a preheated 400 degree F oven. Stir occasionally until everything is caramelized and black around the edges. Season with pepper. 2. Run everything through a food mill on a medium dye over a medium pot. 3. If too thick, thin with water Add milk right before service |
