if you enjoy mushroom soup, here is a good recipe, fattening yes but great ! Ingredients:
1 lb. mushrooms |
1/4 c. margarine or butter |
3 t. flour |
1/2 t. salt |
1 c. whipping (heavy) cream |
1 can (14 1/2 oz) ready-to-serve chicken broth |
1/4 c sherry |
Directions:
1. Slice enough mushrooms to measure 1 cup; chop remaining mushrooms. 2. Melt margarine in 3-quart suacepan over medium heat. 3. Stir in sliced and chopped mushrooms. 4. Cook about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until 5. mushrooms are golden brown. 6. Sprinkle with flour and salt. 7. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. 8. Gradually stir in whipping cream, broth and sherry ; heat 9. until hot. |
