Quick Red Beans and Rice

Threw this together for dinner the other night and it was a hit. Measurements are approximate.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 -2 slice deli ham
5 -6 slices white onions
1 (15 ounce) can dark red kidney beans, do not drain
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground thyme
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 cups cooked white rice
Directions:
1. Cook ham in oil.
2. Add onion and saute for 3 minutes.
3. Add beans and seasonings.
4. Simmer for 15 minutes.
5. Serve over rice.
