Great for after school or watching the game! Quick and easy yet filling snacks are a hit with kids AND adults. Get out of the kitchen and watch the game!
Ingredients:
1 pkg. flour or corn tortillas
1 pkg sliced cheese
dab of butter
jalapenos, chiles, chopped onions, crumbled beef or chicken.
Directions:
1. Place a small skillet over medium heat
2. Add a dab of butter and melt til sizzles
3. Add 1 corn or flour tortilla (your choice)
4. Being careful not to burn yourself turn to evenly disperse melted butter
5. Lay a slice of cheddar, monterey jack or your favorite sliced cheese on the tortilla
6. Add any optional toppings that you like, i.e. jalapenos or onions, etc
7. Lay on another slice of cheese
8. Top with a second tortilla
9. Flip over with a large spatula as you would a grilled cheese sandwich
10. Remove to plate when cheese melts to soft stage
11. Let cool slightly and then cut into wedges with a pizza cutter
12. Eat in wedges or dip wedges in salsa, chili, queso or even ranch dressing!
13. These are SO versatile that you can change them into a million different combinations!
