I'm posting this recipe in response to a request. I found it in the Nov. 19, 2002 issue of Woman's World magazine, where my sister had mini-mystery published! You could make these treats and then curl up with this magazine, your favorite magazine, or novel! Ingredients:
24 graham cracker squares |
1/2 cup packed brown sugar |
1/2 cup margarine |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350°. 2. Arrange graham crackers in single layer in ungreased 15 x 10 jelly-roll pan. 3. Heat brown sugar and margarine to boiling in 2-qt. saucepan. 4. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. 5. Remove from heat. 6. Stir in vanilla. 7. Pour sugar mixture over crackers; spread evenly. 8. Sprinkle with pecans. 9. Bake 8-10 minutes or until bubbly. 10. Cool slightly. 11. Break into squares. |
