Quick Pizza Sauce With Fennel |

This makes a relatively thin sauce, enough for 1 pizza. For a thicker sauce, use tomato paste. Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 (3 ounce) can mushroom pieces, undrained |
1 teaspoon garlic powder (to taste) |
1/2 teaspoon fennel seed (to taste) |
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, to taste |
1 pinch black pepper (to taste) |
Directions:
1. Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid. Set mushrooms aside for another use (topping, perhaps). 2. Combine reserved mushroom liquid with all other ingredients. 3. Use on pizza of your choice. |
