I got this recipe from my mother-in-law about 26 years ago. She is almost 92 years old now. This is the best peach cobbler I have ever eaten. We like to top it off with ice cream. Anybody that has ever eaten this at my house loves it. Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
3/4 cup flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 cup milk |
1/2 cup butter |
1 (20 ounce) can sliced peaches |
Directions:
1. Melt butter and pour over peaches in a shallow baking dish. 2. Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar over peaches. 3. Mix 1/2 cup sugar, 3/4 cup flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1/2 cup milk; drizzle over peaches. 4. Bake at 350° until crust is brown (about 1 hour). |
