Quick N Easy Balsalmic Sirloin And Pasta Saute

Quick, easy, tasty one dish meal from one of my little Pilsbury books. A family favorite. Some crusty bread and maybe a small green salad and you are set! I embellish when I have fresh veggies that need to be used - red pepper is great! Read more ! Also like to add a can of mushrooms and water chestnuts. Possibilities are endless.
Ingredients:
1 t olive oil
1 t butter or margarine
10 oz boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into 2 1/2 inch strips
1/2 t dried basil
3 t water
2 t balsamic vinegar
1 t chopped garlic
1 (1lb) package garlic frozen vegetables with pasta
1 c diced seeded tomatoes
*** i add 1 t kikomans stir fry sauce and 1 t worcestershire
*** i add 1 small can mushrooms, drained
1 red pepper, seeded and diced, 1 small onion - chopped, and 1 small can water chestnuts, drained if i have it on hand (broccoli, squash, zuchini, etc, i add whatever needs to be used!).
Directions:
1. Heat oil and butter in large nonstick skillet over medium high heat
2. Add beef strips, basil and garlic (onion & pepper)
3. Cook until beef ins browned
4. Stir in water and vinegar and sauces
5. Add frozen veggies with pasta, mushrooms and water chestnuts
6. Bring to boil
7. Reduce heat to medium and simmer 4 minutes, stirring once
8. Add tomatoes, cover and cook 1 minute, or until throroughly heated
9. Garnish with fresh grated parmesan
