Quick Gnocchi

quick, easy and delicious gnocchi.
Ingredients:
1 cup betty crocker potato buds, dry
1 cup boiling water
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Directions:
1. place potatoes in a medium bowl.
2. pour in boiling water.
3. stir until well blended and let cool.
4. stir in egg, salt and pepper.
5. blend in flourto make a fairly stiff dough.
6. turn dough onto a well floured surface.
7. Knead lightly.
8. divide dough into 1/2.
9. shape each 1/2 into a long thin roll about the size of a breadstick.
10. dip knife into flour and cut into bite sized pieces.
11. Bring salted water to boil in a large pot.
12. add a few gnocchi to boiling water.
13. as gnocchi rises to surface remove with a slotted spoon.
14. repeat until all cooked.
