Orange sherbet in a salad, YUMMMMMM! Ingredients:
2 pkgs. orange gelatin |
1 c. water |
1 c. orange juice |
1 c. mandarin oranges |
1 pt. orange sherbet |
topping |
1/2 c. sugar |
3 t. flour |
1 egg, slightly beaten |
1 c. crushed pineapple and juice |
2 t. butter |
1 c. cream, whipped |
Directions:
1. Bring water to boil. Dissolve gelatin. 2. Stir in orange juice and sherbet. 3. Add oranges. 4. Pour into a mold. 5. Refrigerate, when set add topping. 6. Topping 7. Combine and cook until thick. 8. Add butter, cool. 9. Fold together topping and whipped cream. 10. Spread on top of chilled, set salad and refrigerate until serving. 11. Can be served on individual salad plates on a bed of lettuce. |
