This recipe was passed on by Mum....after I failed dismally making scones for my daughter! It is truly the quickest yummiest scone recipe - not too sweet- and whipped up in a minute! Ingredients:
3 cups self raising flour |
300 ml thickened cream |
185 ml 7-up soda |
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 400 deg. 2. Combine all ingredients quickly Turn out onto floured board and knead lightly Cut into 8cm rounds which are 2 1/2cm thick Place onto a greased baking tin (not touching) Bake for approx. 3. 8- 10 mins until golden brown Wrap in a tea towel when cooked and serve piping hot! |
