Quick Cumin-Rich Tomatoes

This is a quick, even hastily prepared side dish. It goes well with Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and North African foods, and also amazingly well with curries. It's low cal, and fat-free.
Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons cumin
Directions:
1. Open a large can of whole peeled tomatoes.
2. Remove the tomatoes, and put them into a bowl.
3. Pour the liquid from the can into a small saucepan.
4. Add the salt, garlic and cumin.
5. Cook this on medium heat, and reduce the amount by half.
6. The sauce will thicken.
7. Add the tomatoes, and heat them in the sauce.
8. Serve immediately, or reheat just before serving.
9. The longer the tomatoes can soak up the flavors, the better.
10. You could add basil, or any herb.
