Quick Crescent Pecan Pie Bars |

1973 Pillsbury Bake-Off winner. Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls |
1/2 cup pecans, chopped |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup corn syrup |
1 tablespoon margarine or 1 tablespoon butter, melted |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1 egg, beaten |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. 2. Unroll dough into 2 long rectangles. 3. Place in ungreased 13x9 pan; press over bottom and 1/2 up sides to form crust. 4. Firmly press performations to seal. 5. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 minutes. 6. Meanwhile, in medium bowl combine all filling ingredients. Pour over partially baked crust. 7. Return to oven and bake for an additional 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. 8. Cool completely; cut into bars. |
