This was my mother's recipe so the family has been making it for at least 70 years. It's easy to make and great tasting Ingredients:
4 tablespoons soft butter |
1 cup granulated sugar |
1 large egg |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
1 cup milk |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Cream the butter and 1 cup of sugar. 2. Slightly beat egg and add to the butter and sugar. Also add the vanilla. Mix well. 3. Sift flour and salt. Add to the butter mixture slowly, mixing well after each quantity of flour. 4. Alternately add baking powder and milk to the mixture. Beat well. 5. Pour into an greased 8 inch by 8 inch baking dish. |
