Chili powder is actually a packet of mild chili seasoning so sodium is increased. Instead of 2 14oz cans of chili beans I use 1 can chili bean and 1 can northern. The rest is the same. Increase broth as needed. Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey |
28 oz. chili beans |
1 cup corn |
3 tbsp chili powder |
1 tsp salt |
1 garlic clove |
2 cups chicken broth |
Directions:
1. I just throw everything in at once. Let the ground turkey cook with all the seasoning and broth. Chop it up as it cooks/thaws. It is so good when everything cooks together and since the turkey is so low in fat there is no grease to drain. Just mmm mmm goodness. 2. Add a spoonful of low fat sour cream and a sprinkle of shredded cheese for a bonus. |
