I needed a quick sub for condensed cheese soup and this seemed to work out just fine. Ingredients:
1 cup 10% cream |
1 1/2 tablespoons low-fat cream cheese |
2 cups low-fat cheddar cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. Pour cream into a sauce pan and set burner to medium heat. When cream starts to warm, add cream cheese and stir constantly until almost completely melted. 2. Add cheddar and stir until well blended in with the cream mix. Let heat for 2 minute (do not let it boil) then remove from heat and let set for about 5 minute Use sauce same day it's made. 3. (Note: yeild is a guess, opps! I forgot to measure it out). |
